All About Me
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-CP) passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of life, loss, and trauma. I deeply value the unique strengths, life experiences, and perspectives that shape each person’s story. My goal is to help clients process their experiences and better understand how their thoughts and beliefs influence the way they move through the world.
While I have specialized expertise in treating sexual trauma, I also work with individuals and couples facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and genuine. I aim to empower clients to take an active role in their healing journey. Because each person is unique, I tailor therapy to fit your needs—drawing on interventions that align with your values and feel most supportive to you.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a mother to two daughters. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially at the beach or soaking in the sunshine here in Charleston. I believe that my lived experiences—as a mother, daughter, friend, wife, and fellow human, allow me to meet each client with empathy, curiosity, and respect.
Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when you're unsure of where you're headed, but you know you can’t stay where you are. It’s an honor to sit with my clients in the hard moments and to celebrate alongside them in moments of growth and joy. Healing isn’t linear, but it is possible—and I’m here to walk with you, wherever your journey leads.
Education
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Maryland. Since then, I’ve obtained my independent social work license and am an approved clinical supervisor through the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners for clinicians pursuing independent licensure. I’m grateful for the opportunity to mentor other social workers. It keeps my skills sharp, broadens my perspective, and allows me to share my passion for this work with the next generation of therapists.
